Abstract   (70 Views)
among older adults under the ILP model in the working area of Tandung Nanggala Health Center, North Toraja Regency, Indonesia.
Methods: An analytic observational study with a cross-sectional design was conducted among 122 older adults (aged ≥60 years) registered at two ILP-integrated Posyandu, selected through proportionate stratified random sampling. Data on knowledge, attitude, cadre role, family support, healthcare accessibility, motivation, and Posyandu utilisation were collected using a validated, interviewer-administered questionnaire. Associations were assessed using chi-square tests, and independent predictors were identified through binary logistic regression.
Findings: Only 34 respondents (27.9%) utilized Posyandu services. Knowledge, attitude, cadre role, family support, healthcare accessibility, and motivation were all significantly associated with utilization in bivariate analysis (p < 0.05). In the final multivariate model, only attitude (adjusted odds ratio [AOR] = 723.10; 95% CI: 69.31–7,543.94; p < 0.001) and family support (AOR = 10.56; 95% CI: 1.05–105.80; p = 0.045) remained independent predictors, with attitude showing the strongest association.
Conclusion: Low Posyandu utilization among older adults in this ILP-integrated setting reflects an interaction between individual attitude toward preventive care and the reinforcing role of family support, rather than service availability alone. Strategies to improve elderly participation should prioritize fostering positive attitudes through consistent, respectful service experiences and actively engaging families as partners in sustaining older adults' use of Posyandu services.
