Abstract   (21 Views)
Aims: Mindfulness-based intervention (MBI) is an emerging approach in modern psychiatric nursing that enhances patients' recovery outcomes and nurses' psychological wellbeing. This study aims to analyse the impact of integrating MBI into psychiatric nursing practice on two main aspects: patient recovery outcomes and nurses' wellbeing.
Instrument & Methods: This study employed a quantitative design using Partial Least Squares-based Structural Equation Modelling (PLS-SEM) and involved 150 respondents from Tikung Community Health Centre and Deket Community Health Centre, Lamongan Regency, East Java Province. Data were collected through a questionnaire tested for validity and reliability.
Findings: The analysis results indicate that all constructs significantly affect the dependent variable, with the highest coefficient value shown by the integration of mindfulness into care planning (β = 0.569). These findings suggest that the systematic and organizationally supported implementation of mindfulness can enhance the effectiveness of mental health services and strengthen nurses' adaptive capacity.
Conclusion: The structural equation modeling (SEM) findings confirmed that all dimensions of mindfulness integration—ranging from program alignment with practice standards (β = 0.252; p = 0.050), frequency of clinical technique application (β = 0.359; p = 0.041), institutional support (β = 0.299; p = 0.028), level of training (β = 0.430; p = 0.012), nurses’ engagement in personal practice (β = 0.369; p = 0.033), to integration into care planning (β = 0.569; p = 0.082)—statistically contributed positively to outcomes.
