Background: Blinds versus sighted have different sensory information processing that can effect on cognitive
processing.
Purpose: The aim of this study is comparing attentional demand of daily living in blinds veteran with normal
sighted matched person in other word
Material and Methods: we compare 92 blinds and 113 sighted people in dual task performance with Everyday
Attention Questioner (EAQ). Mann –Whitney U Test was used to comparing blind with sighted.
Results: findings show significant difference between two groups in two complex task sub scales and total
scores of EAQ. Results don’t show significant difference between two groups in simple and and complex task.
Discussion: blinds have dual task interference in dual complex task condition. This finding means that in high
cognitive demand blinds have lower divided attention ability.
