  Abstract

  

  Background and Purpose: The aim of this study was cognition of experience of readmission and essential causes effected in veterans with post traumatic stress disorder.

  Materials and Methods: this qualitative study done with grouanded theory. 19 veterans with PTSD that hospitalized in shahid rejaii psychiatry hospital and noor hospital in isfahan and 6 persons of their families were selected for this study. The sampling method was purposeful and continued until data saturation. Data were collected by semi-structural and depth interviews and analysis was done according continues comparison ( strauss &corbin ) method.

  Results: Seven core concept of readmission were: recurrent of the mental disorder, drugs and treatment problems, family problems, economic problems, recurrent of somatic disease, the negative attitudes of society, dissatisfaction of supportive and treatment system.

  Conclusion: veterans with PTSD experience several problems in recurrent of the mental disorder, drugs and treatment, family, economic, negative attitudes of society, and dissatisfaction of supportive and treatment system lead to readmission of them. We can manage these problems to prevent of readmisson and correct their quality of life.
