en سلامت جانبازان يا معلولان Veterans or Handicapped Health پژوهشی اصيل Original Research <span style="font-size:12pt"><span style="line-height:97%"><span style="tab-stops:right 0cm"><span style="font-family:Calibri,sans-serif"><b><span cambria-bold="" style="font-family:"><span style="color:#f8941e">Aims</span></span></b> <span new="" roman="" style="font-family:" times="">The</span><span new="" roman="" style="font-family:" times=""> aim of this study was to propose effective strategies to increase participation in sports activities in order to improve the health of veterans in Yazd City.</span></span></span></span></span><br> <span style="font-size:12pt"><span style="line-height:97%"><span style="tab-stops:right 0cm"><span style="font-family:Calibri,sans-serif"><b><span cambria-bold="" style="font-family:"><span style="color:#f8941e">Instrument & Methods</span></span></b><span new="" roman="" style="font-family:" times=""> The statistical population of the present study consisted of 4,420 veterans residing in Yazd City in 2025. Based on the Krejcie and Morgan table, a sample size of 351 participants was estimated. This research employed a descriptive survey design. Data were collected quantitatively using a researcher-developed questionnaire. After the content validity was confirmed by 10 experts in sports management, the reliability of the questionnaire was verified using Cronbach&rsquo;s alpha coefficient (&alpha; = 0.79). First, the factors influencing sports participation related to veterans&rsquo; health improvement were identified using a qualitative approach, and then these factors were prioritized using the non-parametric Friedman test.</span></span></span></span></span><br> <span style="font-size:12pt"><span style="line-height:97%"><span style="tab-stops:right 0cm"><span style="font-family:Calibri,sans-serif"><b><span cambria-bold="" style="font-family:"><span style="color:#f8941e">Findings</span></span></b><span new="" roman="" style="font-family:" times=""> The findings indicated that the three main dimensions affecting sports participation were, respectively, managerial and planning factors, economic factors, and socio-cultural factors.</span></span></span></span></span><br> <span style="font-size:12pt"><span style="line-height:97%"><span style="tab-stops:right 0cm"><span style="font-family:Calibri,sans-serif"><b><span cambria-bold="" style="font-family:"><span style="color:#f8941e">Conclusion</span></span></b><span new="" roman="" style="font-family:" times=""> Therefore, it is essential to foster a culture of sports among veterans, design tailored sports programs, and provide financial support to facilitate their engagement in sports activities, thereby enhancing sports participation among veterans in Yazd City.</span></span></span></span></span><br> &nbsp; Keywords Health Improvement,Physical Exercise,Veterans,Sports Participation,Yazd City. 1001 1014 http://ijwph.ir/browse.php?a_code=A-10-2421-1&slc_lang=en&sid=1 Azam Tolabi-mazraeno azam.tolabi@cfu.ac.ir 15300319475328460029028 15300319475328460029028 Yes
